The St Nicholas Singers
They were formed to provide music at certain special services in the Parish Church and to this day continue to fulfil this role where they can now be heard on a regular basis at the increasingly popular 6@Nicks evening Eucharist on the first Sunday of each month.
Their reputation as a highly versatile and quality vocal ensemble has led them to sing at not only other venues and churches in the region but also on the BBC where they have regularly sung for the Daily Service on radio 4 and have appeared on Songs of Praise.
They were finalists on the popular radio 2 competition ‘Minstrels in the Gallery’ with Canon Roger Royle and they have sung for many years at the RNLI Christmas Event at Eton Hall.
Among the many other memorable occasions they have had the honour of singing at has been the Liverpool 800th anniversary service and on two royal occasions before HRH The Princess Alexandra and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
